Refund Policy
Please find out refund policies below. They apply to all purchases made on DiplomatChess.com.
1. In-Person and Online Club Policy:
Refunds: We are confident that your child will enjoy our clubs! However, if for whatever reason they don’t want to continue, we will offer a refund for the remaining sessions, minus a $15 administration fee. No refunds will be given after 50% of the classes have been completed.
Unforeseen Cancellations: If a school closes unexpectedly (usually due to weather), we will always reschedule the first missed class of the trimester. However, if there are multiple cancellations outside of our control, we may not be able to make them all up. In that event, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Late Registrations: If a student signs up after the registration has closed, Diplomat Chess will prorate the fee for any missed classes and charge an additional $15 administrative fee.
Cancellation Due to Low Enrollment: If a club gets cancelled due to a lack of students, we will issue full refunds to all families.
2. Tournament Policy:
Cancellation Policy: If your child is unable to participate in a tournament, please email td@diplomatchess.com by noon the Tuesday before the event, and we can either process a refund minus a $15 administrative fee, or provide a credit to a future tournament. After Tuesday at noon until three hours before the tournament starts, we can credit the registration for a future tournament. Less than three hours before the tournament starts, we will not be able to provide any refund or future credit.
Weather Cancellations: On the rare occasion in which we need to cancel a tournament, we will try to reschedule it at the same location ASAP. If your child is not able to attend the rescheduled tournament, we will offer either a full refund or credit to a future event.
